The family of Wai King Tse of Toronto is saddened to announce her passing on July 9, 2024 at the age of 99 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Amy (and Wayne) Ma, Mabel (and Alain) Cheng, Alvin (and Doreen) Fong; grandchildren: Debbie (and John) Hill, Andrew (and Rebecca) Ma, Kevin Cheng, Clayton (and Kristin) Cheng, Martin (and Jackie) Cheng, Chi Yan Fong, Yung-Chi Fang (and Pen-Hao Fu), April Fong (and Brett Harris); as well as 15 vibrant and energetic great-grandchildren. Wai King was born in Canton and left Hong Kong to start a new life in Canada with her family in the early 1980s. She was well loved by friends in Chinatown and loved to play mahjong.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2024. Donations can be made to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or Sunnybrook Hospital in Wai King Tse's name in lieu of flowers. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Silverthorn Community Care in Mississauga for their care and compassion.
