Dear Jaga, Tom, Draga, and Families,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your Husband and father Vlado Flanjak. Growing up as next-door neighbors, my parents, brothers and I were blessed with the warmth and kindness your family always showed us—even with our Croatian and Italian tongues, you bridged every gap with genuine friendship. I fondly remember the days we played soccer, baseball, and hide-and-go-seek, cherishing the joyful memories we shared together.

Mr. Flanjak’s legacy of being an exceptional neighbour and friend will forever remain in our hearts. May you find comfort in these memories during this difficult time, and may his spirit continue to inspire love and unity among all who knew him.

With deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences,

Lucy Atkinson (nee Chimienti)
