Vivian Edwina Valentine (Barker), loving wife to the late Douglas Gerald Valentine passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 9th in her 92nd year at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care, Mississauga, Ontario.
Vivian was born on May 25th, 1932 to Edward and Doris Barker in Ottawa, Ontario. Vivian is survived by her sister Helen (Desmond) and was predeceased by her brother Harold (Linda).
Vivian is remembered by her two children Janice (John) and Paul (Karen), five grandchildren Robyn (Chris), Jason, Brandon, Kristie (Adam), Cassandra and four great grandchildren Douglas, Skye, Georgia and Jack.
Vivian was known for her exceptional talent as an artist. She loved being close to nature and created beauty in the world through her art and in how deeply she felt for those she loved.
Friends may call to the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga) on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. Chapel Service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment at Trafalger Lawn Cemetery (1149 Dundas Street West, Oakville). Donations in Vivian's name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
