Born in 1934 on the Manitoulin Island, Vivian passed away peacefully this week after a lengthy illness at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga surrounded by her close family. Survived by Andrew, Brady (Gail) and also by many nieces and nephews as well as her god daughter Kathy, Vivian will be missed by all who knew her for her sharp mind and her love for life.
Vivian enjoyed a rich life with her pre deceased husband William (Bill) of 62 years, travelling the world in the 1990’s and early 2000’s including stops in Australia, Europe, South America, Asia and Bill’s homestead in Lossiemouth, Scotland. Recently, she followed the Toronto Blue Jays to their winning of the East Division wanting to know every statistic for each player for each game with a bold prediction of the Jays winning the World Series this year. Having spent the past several years at the Erinview Retirement Residence in Mississauga we would like to thank the care givers there for their attentiveness and support in making these years enjoyable for her and the many nurses and caregivers at the Credit Valley Hospital in Unit 1B.
All those who knew Vivian or the family are welcome to attend the visitation at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel in Mississauga on Saturday October 25th. Visitation from 10 AM – 11 AM, Service 11:15 AM – NOON followed by a Celebration of Life reception.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her name to the Canadian Lung Association
