In Celebration of

Vito D'Attolico

July 5, 1942 -  February 18, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Victor (Vito) D’Attolico on February 18, 2020. Born in Modugno,Province of Bari, Italy in 1942, he immigrated to Canada in 1955 with his parents and siblings. Vic became a much loved teacher in the Toronto Separate School Board and impacted many young lives with his kindness and passion for learning.

Vic was entirely devoted to his family and is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth and admiring daughters Rosemarie (Marc) and Angela (Ryan). He was the most engaged and enthusiastic Nonno to Benjamin, Sophia and Abigail. He was a supportive and loyal brother to Maria (Mark), Nicla (Len) and Joe (Arlene).

He was a great friend, always ready with an espresso or a glass of wine. The famed focaccia maker of the family will be missed for his love of food, good company and laughter. Vic will be desperately missed by his family and friends but the positive impact he had on all the lives he touched will live on.

Family and friends will be received at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere near the Jane subway on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (3055 Bloor St. West) on Friday, February 21 at 11 a.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Doctors Without Borders and Covenant House would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

It was such a pleasure to have met you and have known you. Albeit only for a short while it felt like we had known you for years. May you sleep in peace. Always in our thoughts. xxxx
