It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cabral, Virginia Sousa, on Wednesday, Aug 6, 2025. Virginia passed away peacefully at Stevenson Memorial Hospital at the age of 91 surrounded by family. Virginia and her twin Manual were born on April 19, 1934 in Santa Maria, Azores to Raulino José de Sousa and Maria Andrade Melo. Sadly their father passed away when they were only 14 days old. Virginia was preceded in death by her father Raulino and her mother, Maria. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Maria S. Melo of Lisbon, Filomena deMelo (António) of Toronto, Rosa Loura (Mario) of Hudson Massachusetts, Alexandrina Melo of Cambridge and her brothers, José M. Sousa (Helena) of Cambridge, António S. Melo (Maria Dora) of Santa Maria and Manuel M. Sousa (Rosa) of Mississauga. She is survived by her husband Clemente, her son Nelson, daughter Michelle and her 2 granddaughters that she adored Sophia & Eliana. Virginia will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In celebration of Virginia’s life, all are welcome to the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, (Queensway & Hurontario) on Tuesday August 12, 2025 from 6pm – 9pm.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday August 13, 2025 at 10am at S. Salvador Do Mundo with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
