In Celebration of

Vinko Kozina

May 30, 1939 -  December 6, 2021

Our beloved husband and father Vinko Kozina was called to Heaven in his 83rd year. He passed away at peace and surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife Mila of 54 years and their 5 loving children: Ante, Vinko, Michele (Denis), John and Michael. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren, whom he adored: Kayla, Ante and Jure. He is survived by his sister and brothers in Croatia and Bosna-Hercegovina: Ruža, Jozo, Milan and Jure. He is deeply missed by his many brother and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews in Canada, Croatia and Bosna-Hercegovina. He is remembered fondly by all family friends near and far.

Dad was born in Ljubuški, Bosna-Hercegovina. He married mom in 1967, and shortly after they left to start a new life in Canada where they were blessed with 5 children. Dad ran a successful business for many years. He was known for his hard work, and nothing was ever too difficult for him. He was a long-time member of the župno vijeće at Croatian Martyrs Parish in Mississauga. He also actively supported neighbouring Croatian parishes. He was always there to help, especially during difficult times in Croatia. He was a man you knew you could depend on.

Our Dad always looked at us with so much love and affection. We shared a million hugs and kisses throughout our lives. We have so many fond memories of family parties and trips taken together, especially to our homeland, Croatia. Dad loved playing buće and going to Croatian picnics every Sunday. He loved watching us play soccer, tambura or dance kolo. Most of all, he loved going to mass with my mom, especially in Međugorje.

He was the best father, even though he lost his own at the tender age of 5. He worked hard his entire life, and he gave everything to make a good life for us. We will be forever grateful for all of his sacrifices. And we will always remember his beautiful smile and gentle heart.

Until we meet again dragi Tata, rest in eternal peace!

U raj te poveli anđeli!
Počivaj u miru Božjem. +
