In Celebration of

Vincent Redmayne

September 29, 1937 -  January 8, 2019

With sad hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Vincent Redmayne on January 8, 2019, in The Healing Cycle Palliative Patient Care Unit at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, at the age of 81. Vince leaves us after enduring many health challenges and lengthy illnesses. He was a faithful and devoted husband to Vera for over 58 years, a loving and kind father to Virginia (Richard) and Susan, and a cherished grandfather to Brandon and Kiana. Vince was predeceased by his parents (Thomas William and Margaret) and by his sisters (Marie and Ruth).

As a certified management accountant, Vince was a longtime employee of Massey Ferguson and of UMA Engineering until his retirement. He will be remembered by his colleagues as a man of unquestionable work ethic with a sharp eye for numbers and an analytical mind. But his true passions lay outside of the office where he enjoyed sailing, photography, wood turning, keeping up with the latest technology and quiet nights at home.

At Turner & Porter - Neweduk / Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga), friends and family will be received for visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Chapel service at the same location, as a celebration of Vince’s life, will occur on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 3:30 pm with a reception & light refreshments to follow.

Cremation has taken place and private interment will occur at a later date at Springcreek Cemetery in Clarkson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation at www.trilliumgiving.ca to reflect the gratitude that is felt for the care that Vince received.

Miss you, dad. Taking comfort in knowing that your body and mind can be at peace now. You were an example of strength and spirit to all of us. Go forward as we fall behind, for now. Give Grandma, Grandpa, Maggie and Finnigan a big hug from me.

We are very sorry to hear of Vince’s passing our sympathies to all the family.
We knew Vince was struggling with health issues and was fighting to hang in there.
It makes our last lunch with Vince and Vera that much more special. Vince gave us one of his hand carved bowls that day and every time we use it we think of Vince and Vera and we’ll continue to.
We are in Florida at this time but we hope to have all the family over this summer.
Love and sympathy to you all.
Terry and Bob
