Victoria Anne Sybydlo (Szmyrko)

October 13, 1955 - September 17, 2025

Victoria passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Bohdan of 47 years; her loving children Bohdan (Lauren) and Stephanie (Sebastian); and her beloved grandchildren, Charlie and Lavinia.

She will be sorely missed by her mother Rosemarie, her sister Cathy (Nicholas), her brother Bill; and her so many friends.

Friends may call that the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Tuesday, September 23rd from 2-4pm & 6-8pm, with Panakhyda (панахида) at 7pm.

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24th at 10am at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 300 River Oaks Boulevard East, Oakville. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery.

Vicky, my dearest sweet sister, you have guided me through childhood and into my adulthood with your kindness, care and love. I thank you so very much for being there for me. I will miss you every day when I look at the sky, the rain, and especially the stars because you were and will always be a shining star to me.
Now, free from pain and suffering, you can look upon those of us who love you and know that you are always in our thoughts. Gently rest now and know that God will be there to help us to remember the wonderful, smiling soul that you were. I will miss you terribly but I will always smile when I think of you and what you accomplished as a daughter, sister, mother and friends to so many. Your sense of humour was gravitating and your love, unmeasured. I love you Vicky, your sister, Cathy
