In Celebration of

Victor Goodwill Levy

December 2, 1931 -  February 5, 2020

We are broken-hearted to share the news that we have lost our beloved Daddy, Grandpa and Papa, Victor Levy, after a long, active and happy life. He died in the palliative care unit at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

Victor was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1931 and came to Canada in 1956. He was a proud Canadian, but Jamaica was always near to his heart.

Victor leaves his daughters Anne Levy-Ward (Philip Ward) and Gail Watson, his adored grandchildren Gregory Ward (Cristina Morrone), Rebecca Watson, Melissa Ward (Reiss Zurbyk) and Hope Watson, and his brother and sisters John Levy (Patsy), Hilma Read (Dennis), Janet Everton, Pamela Reynolds (Michael) and June Kurzinger. He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Nina McNamee, his many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Levy and McNamee families, by his countless friends at Trinity Church Streetsville – and by the friends he made wherever he went.

Victor has gone home to his heavenly Father, where he has joined his darling wife Rene, whom he has missed so badly since her death in 2004, his baby sister Marilyn and his parents. There will be a cremation and a memorial service, with burial in the spring.

Our heartfelt thanks to the kind and caring staff at Sheridan Villa, where Victor spent his last months, and Credit Valley Hospital, where he spent his last days.

Despite some setbacks and sorrows in his life, Victor always had a sunny disposition, a positive attitude and a kind word to share.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Walk good, Daddy.
