Vera Lorraine Mitchell (nee Hughes)

After 99 years of a well lived life Mom passed away early on Monday March 29. Predeceased by husband Kelly. Survived by children Jeanette (Ken), Yvonne (Brad), Allison (Irene), Kelly (Janine).
Also survived by brother Bill Hughes, predeceased by sister Lois Fendley.

Vera was a grandmother and great grandmother to many and is fondly remembered by them. Also will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Vera was born in Toronto and lived there until she and Kelly retired to Fenelon Falls. They enjoyed the years there with many great friendships and a busy life with the seniors community. Vera moved to Mississauga, living independently until last summer.

Through her life Vera enjoyed activities such as knitting, crafts, gardening, travels, cards, and never missed an opportunity to visit a casino!

The Grandest of Ladies! The fondest memories of my youth involve Aunt Vera, my Very Favourite Aunt. There will be, til the end of my days, a very special place in my heart and memory for my Special Aunt. My deepest condolences to my cousins and their families and to all those whose lives and hearts she touched. May all of us hold onto those warm, cherished memories. I know I am better for her having been in my life.

Grandma was was an extremely attentive grandmother over the years and my own kids fondly remember spending a lot of time with her too! We all have the manners and etiquette to one day have lunch with the queen!
