Vance Mortimer Calvin McKie

January 2, 1975 - June 16, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved son and brother Vance Mortimer Calvin passed away suddenly on June 16, 2022 at the age of 47.

Beloved son of Mervyn. Special brother of Vincent (David Cupolo),Victor (Michele McKie) and Valerie (Bob St John Loving uncle of Remy. Father of Matthew, Monique and Mervyn.

He is predeceased by his mother Edalyn McKie and grandmother Eunice Connell, grandparents Mortimer and Amy Yearwood.

Vance was extremely talented in Olympic wrestling winning multiple medals & trophies throughout his high school years, he loved just about anything with an engine in motorcycles, classic cars and racing cars.

He had a short lived career a professional wrestling, wrestling alongside his father. Vance was loved by many & will be truly missed. Rest in Peace, Vance your struggle is over.

Family and friends are invited to Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Hilary’s Anglican Church, 2055 Hurontario St, Mississauga on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 1 p.m.

It's ironic how time can sometimes create as much distance as distance can. And then memories come all flying back like it happened an hour ago...

Since I heard the news, I keep seeing the day Vance came into the store I worked at with Vincent. Vance was all excited. (I don't remember about what or why, anymore, I just remember that he was and it made me smile) It was his smile and the great exuberant energey. And that is how he will live on with me.

I send my loving thoughts and prayers through this time to the entire family. Especially Mr. McKie, Matthew, Monique and Mervyn.

He lives on through all of you. Vance's light shines on. Vance may have had struggles and he is gone too soon but he loved and was loved. May that be
a solice to all of you in this time.
