It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valentine Hughes in Toronto on July 26, 2022, in his 88th year. Valentine was born in Guyana, South America. He leaves his dearly beloved wife of 56 years and lifelong best friend Violet Maud Hughes (née Lewis), his daughter Michelle (John), son Christopher (predeceased), his beloved grandchildren Samantha (Sage), Christopher, and Johan. His sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and their families.

Val was born on May 13th, 1934 in Guyana, South America. He immigrated to England in January of 1958. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1959. He served in Nicosia, Cyprus. While in Cyprus he visited Malta, the Acropolis. He immigrated to Canada in 1966. He never missed 60 Minutes, enjoyed watching sports, documentaries and Turner Classic Movies. He will be missed by partner Melvin and co-workers at Unique Welding & Fabricating.
