Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Leon. Loving mother of Laura (Daniel) and Natasha (Harry). Devoted Bega of Matthew and Sasha. Cherished daughter of Alexandra and the late Nikolay Semerin. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 23 Henry St., Toronto, on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 12 p.m. Interment York Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Toronto Humane Society or to Dorothy Ley Hospice.

Vaughn, Pat and Cofell Family (Dearest Life Long Friend)

I will always remember the good times we had growing up together like sisters. You were my second home and best friend. Wish Vaughn and I and family were closer. Always enjoyed our yearly visits when I would come to Toronto. Wish we had been there to say good bye.

I was saddened and surprised to hear of Val's passing. I will always remember the family gatherings in which she had prepared a meal fit for the Royal court.
