In Celebration of

Urve Allik Earthy

September 10, 1944 -  September 13, 2021

Urve Allik Earthy died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on September 13, 2021. She will be greatly missed by David, her husband and best friend of nearly 45 years, and more recently, her devoted caregiver and lockdown buddy. Urve was the best mom to Daron (Jon), Alex (James and Cameron, Morgan and Isla), and Daniel (Martha) and “Ema” to Zeta, Theo, and Stefan. Urve’s friends and family will miss her design and gardening advice, personal shopping service, and trying to figure out how she had rearranged the kitchen yet again.

Joined the majorettes @ NTCI together and we specially enjoyed playing team sports eg. volleyball. Thanks for helping me in French class ~ sorry I scored higher on the next test! Also fun to play together in the NT Junior Orchestra. After completing university, we shared an apt. on Sherburn St. in TO where we enjoyed hearing Moe Kauffman @ George's Spaghetti House. On long w/e's in summer, we loved being invited to your parents' cottage where I learned to speak a few Estonian words . After we married spouses and had children, we still visited ~ in NY once ~ and whenever I came home to Toronto. Also stayed in touch by phone or emails + exchanging hol. cards.
Good bye dear friend ~ I know we will meet again. Love always, Barb

A very sad time for the Earthy family to lose your much loved mom, wife and grandmother. To Alex I send a special hug. Your family has always been a wonderful second family for Marijke. Sending each one of you my heartfelt condolences.

Kallis Urve! Will miss you! Always admired you growing up, will always remember you water skiing at the cottage on Sturgeon, especially using paddles instead of skiis!
Rest in peace!
