In Celebration of

Urszula Wiacek (nee Lojko)

March 1, 1948 -  April 29, 2020

Urszula Wiacek (nee Lojko), 72, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, passed away in her family home on April 29th, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Acclaim Health in her memory.

Born in Poland on March 1st, 1948, she is predeceased by her parents, Boleslaw and Maria Lojko. Urszula earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Warsaw University of Technology, where she met her husband. She worked as an electrical engineer in Poland’s third largest power plant in Kozienice before immigrating to Canada with her family in 1988. Once in Canada she continued to support her family by working at Rubbermaid Ltd. for 21 years while learning English and raising four children in a new country.

Urszula was a hardworking and loving woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her passions included gardening, home decorating, antiquing, and doting on her nine grandchildren, whom she helped to raise. She was the family matriarch who always brought everyone together over a delicious meal. She loved to laugh and her zest for life was felt until her last days.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wladyslaw, and four adult children: Katarzyna Lozinska (Andrzej Lozinski), Marcin Wiacek (Zaneta Sawicka), Aldona Wiacek (Jacob Hanley) and Aleksandra Piascik (Konrad Piascik). Her grandchildren are Matthew and Peter Lozinski; Adam, Sebastian, and Maximilian Wiacek; Katherine and Finn Hanley; and Victoria and Elise Piascik, along with a tenth grandchild on the way. Urszula is also survived by her three siblings (Leszek Lojko, Bozena Szponder-Lojko and Aldona Chrzanowska) and their families.

Urszula will be deeply missed but never forgotten and forever in our hearts. May she rest in everlasting peace.
