In Celebration of

Dora Tomsic

January 10, 1928 -  August 8, 2020

It is with broken hearts that Martha and Anita announce the passing of their much loved and devoted mother, Dora. Dora joined her maker on Saturday, August, 8, 2020.
She is predeceased by her husband, Frank, her sister Anka (Ljubljana) and her brother Peter (Knezak). She is survived by her sisters, Micka (Rome) and Elka (Toronto).
Dora leaves behind four grandchildren, Alana, Mark, Madeleine and Victoria. They had great respect for their stara mama who was the best cook and baker and who was so talented in all that she did.
Later in life, her pride and joy were her five great-grandchildren, Huxley, Winslow, Duncan, Maya and Patrick. As their babica, she considered herself so lucky to have so many.
She is survived by her sons in-law David Lewis and Joseph Marn and her grandchildren’s spouses, Michelle Lewis and Paul Hartley who all played an important role in expanding her loving family.
One of her life pleasures was her job of 43 years at Moore Chenille Crest. She was well known and highly respected for her monogramming skills in the textile industry and the fur business. After the business closed, she continued monogramming, at home, until the age of 90.
Many tears have been shed and she is greatly missed by her friends and relatives in Toronto, Slovenija, Italy, Argentina and Australia.
Due to COVID-19, funeral arrangements will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice or do a good deed for someone in need.
