In Celebration of

Tomo Vlasic

August 28, 1943 -  January 3, 2025

Tomo Vlasic (81), of Mississauga, Ontario passed away on January 3, 2025. Tomo was born to Mare and Mijo, on August 28, 1943 in Zumberak, Croatia.

Tomo was a humble man of few words who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and close friends.

Tomo’s spirit is carried on by wife, Dragica of 54 years of marriage; their children, Susy and Mary; grandchildren Ben and Matthew; nephew's Branko and Davor; niece Niyla and their family members.

Preceding him in peace were his parents Mare and Mijo, brothers Joza, Mijo and Frank and son in Law, Sean.

Tomo, know as Deda, loved his grandchildren Ben and Matthew very dearly. He may not have said I love you but he showed his love in so many other ways. He had said many times that Ben and Matthew gave him purpose and reason to live as he struggled with many illness since he was in his early 50’s. He was not only a grandfather but a father figure shepherding them in the right direction and sharing his words of wisdom.

He will be truly missed by many.

May he now rest in peace.

I have a very heavy heart with Tomo's passing. When we lost Sean to Cancer I saw Tomo refuse to let his illness get the better of him knowing Ben and Matt had just lost their Dad. He did all he could to make sure the boys had his presence and guidance through some difficult times. I am grateful that he was there for the boys. My Brother had so much respect for Tomo and his approach to life. You did not have to Guess how Tomo felt about an issue. Sean respected Tomo's advice and that is saying something because Sean was a very independent thinker. My heart goes out to the family. Tomo has earned and deserves his rest in peace.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Dragica, Mary, Susy and the whole family at this overwhelmingly difficult time. May he rest in God's loving arms and his memories live on in everyone's hearts that knew the wonderful family man he was. The first statement describes him accurately as a humble man of very little words. His actions spoke for him and were full of love for his family. He will be missed very much!
