Thomas "Tom" Inglis

April 1, 1928 -  May 27, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Herbert Inglis announces his passing on Monday, May 27th, 2019 in Toronto in his 91st year. Born on April 1st, 1928 in Kincardine, Ontario. In 1950, Tom graduated from the University of Toronto, Victoria College (North House) in Commerce. He had a rewarding career at North American Life Assurance Company and Edgecombe Group. Tom was active with the Junior Chamber of Commerce and a life-long member of the Albany Club. Tom will be lovingly missed by his wife of 64 years Lee (Lena Leguard) and his children and their spouses, Helen (Robert) Wilson, Jane (Thomas) Prunte, Thomas (Suzanne) Inglis, Nancy (Norman) Williams and John (pre-deceased by Lori) Inglis. Tom will be remembered by his six grandchildren Tom (Darci) Prunte, Margaret (Mitchell) DelCol, John Prunte, Mary (Toni) Zenelaj, Veronica Wilson, Madeline Inglis, and his three great-grandchildren Theodore, Jack, and Liana. He will also be missed by the Inglis, Stevens, Leguard families, his cousin Bruce & Adele Inglis (Scotland), and his many friends at Barclay and Delmanor. Tom was a wonderful role model for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church for over fifty years. Thank you to all healthcare professionals who cared for Tom this past year. Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter, Butler Chapel (4933 Dundas Street W, Toronto, ON) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (3055 Bloor Street W, Etobicoke, ON) on Friday, May 31st at 11 a.m. There will be a private family burial in Port Elgin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children or a charity of your choice.
