In Celebration of

Thomas George Eadie

August 26, 1939 -  March 11, 2023

After a valiant battle with cancer, Tom passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 83.

His life well-lived is a legacy of hope, strength and grace, a gift from someone who has made our world a better place. High school sweetheart and beloved husband of Vivi-Anne for 58 happy years. Loving father of Terri-Anne (Mark Wilson) and Brad (Karen MacLean). Adoring Grandpa of Emmalee, William, Julianne, and Calli, and enamoured Great-Grandpa of Sailor. Cherished brother of Lynne (John Coster) and proud uncle of Cassandra.

A history teacher at Bramalea Secondary School for three decades, Tom was admired by students, colleagues, friends, and family alike. His happiest moments were spent with his family, at home or at the cottage, on the water or at the campfire, playing a round of golf or celebrating special occasions with family and friends. He will forever be loved and dearly missed.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 3-7 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Road, Etobicoke, on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. with the family receiving visitors from 2-3 p.m. Reception to follow at family home. Please join us to celebrate Tom.

For those who wish, donations may be made to McMaster Children’s Hospital, or Ronald McDonald House Charities.

He was a good man. Welcoming. Happy. For the little time I shared with Tom, he showed us all how to be gracious, humble and how to treat people. The Ransome family is very sad to hear the news of his passing and offers its sincerest and heart felt condolences to Vivi-Anne, Terri, Calli, Mark and Brad and the rest of the Eadie family. May he rest in peace.
