In Celebration of

Theressa Mendoza

February 20, 1971 -  February 26, 2025

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Theressa on February 26, 2025.

She is the beloved daughter of the late Modesto M. Mendoza and is survived by her mother Luz V. Mendoza and her daughter Alyssa Mendoza. She will be deeply missed by her family, relatives, friends, and colleagues throughout Canada, the United States, and the Philippines.

God gave her the precious talent of the love of music as at age four she started playing the piano, with a Grade Eight certificate at the Toronto Conservatory of Music and several other trophies and medals. She was gifted at playing other musical instruments, being a member of the band in her early years to high school. She is also talented at folk dancing as she was a member of the Holy Family School dance troupe that performed at Roy Thompson Hall for the Sesquicentennial Celebration. She enjoyed singing karaoke and listening to all kinds of music. She was an avid fan of sports, attending concerts, and she loved to read books. She also loved to travel.

Throughout her life, Theressa was known for her kindness, generosity, devotion and her unparalleled love for her family, relatives, and friends. She had unwavering loyalty and dependability for everyone who crossed paths with her. She attended World Youth Day in Denver and she was an active volunteer with the Knights of Columbus San Lorenzo Ruiz Council #8809. She was instrumental in the success of her father when he was Grand Knight at San Lorenzo Ruiz Council.

Visitation will be held at The Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. (1 block East of Jane subway) from 4-8pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 with prayers at 4:30pm. Alyssa, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your grandmother during this time of loss. Theressa was a lovely lady who always had to time chat when she was on her daily walks. Her smiling face and infectious laugh will sadly be missed on Yorkview Drive. God bless and stay strong for each other.
