Theresa (Terry) Anderson

December 1, 1926 -  December 26, 2018

Passed peacefully from this world after a life well- lived, on her own terms, to join her beloved husband Red (Andy) Anderson on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the grand age of 92 years. She enjoyed a life of family, friends and BINGO. She was a Registered Practical Nurse at The Mississauga Hospital from 1964 to 1994 and volunteered with the Auxillary for the next 15 years. Predeceased by her husband, the late Jarvis “Red” Anderson. Beloved mother to Barbara (Dominic), Debra (Joe), Karen (Paul), and Robert (Karen). Loving grandmother to Colin (Alyson), Veronica (Ryan), Casey (Cindy), Kristie, Michael (Jen); great-grandmother to Bill (Samantha), Andy (Olivia); and great-great grandmother to Shayna, Addison and Korie. She will be missed by her siblings, Dennis (Ruby), the late Bernard (Audrey) and lifelong friends; Marion, Nancy, Doris, Anna Marie, the Sanderson's and the Hesleton’s. A Funeral Service will be held at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., ( Hwy#10, N. of QEW), Mississauga on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. with visitation an hour prior. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. Many thanks to the wonderful people who kept her in her own home as was her wish; CCAC, Links to Care, and Nucleus. Much appreciation to the wonderful nursing, medical and support staff in Emergency, 2B and 3C Rehab. Donations in lieu of flowers as was her wish, may be directed to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation (with special thanks to all the volunteers).

Barb, Debbie, Karen and Rob I am so sorry for your loss. We all know the difficulty of losing a parent but somehow it is still shocking to us when it happens.

The last time I saw your Mum was at Casino Rama and the time before that I was dropping her off at Bingo her favorite places. Yes she did live her life on her own terms and what a wonderful life she lived. My deepest sympathy to you all.
