In Celebration of

Teresinha Arruda

March 1, 1933 -  October 22, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our mother, Teresinha on October 22, 2021 at the age of 88.

Predeceased by her husband Bernardino (Joe) of 61 years in 2019 and her infant son Bernardino Jr. Cherished and devoted mother to Joe, Teri Morano (Dominic) and Paulina Pintar (Michael). A special and loving Vavo to her most treasured gifts, her grandchildren Adam Morano, Owen and Andrea Pintar.

Also predeceased by her parents Jose and Julia Vieira and siblings, Jose, Berta, Maria Conceicao; Suzetta and Luis. She will be greatly missed by her brothers in law, Evaristo; Hermano, Carlos Arruda and sister in law Georgina Arruda as well as many nieces and nephews.

Our beautiful mother loved her flower gardens. She took extreme pride in making sure her blooms were impeccable at home in South Porcupine and continued the tradition at her home in Huntsville. In addition, she mastered all Portuguese cuisine for her family. Mom was also a devoted member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Joachim’s Parish and a dedicated dietary aide at Porcupine General Hospital for many years.

We would like to thank Muskoka Seniors and Muskoka Home Care Services, especially the nurses and personal support workers.

Visitation at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (North of the QEW Hwy), on Tuesday; October 26, 2021 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at San Salvador Do Mundo Catholic Church, 1212 Melton Dr., Mississauga on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.

Tia Teresinha was a very special lady in my life. We had great in-depth talks about anything and everything. She always had a smile on her face. She reminded me so much of my mom, smiling and wanting to see everyone around her happy, especially her children and grandchildren. I will miss her immensely. Another important person in my life gone forever. She knew I loved her cabbage rolls and made a point of bringing freshly made cabbage rolls every time she visited with either tio Bernardinho or Joe. Til we meet again, querida tia Teresinha.
