In Celebration of

Teresa O'Reilly

November 29, 1931 -  December 1, 2022

Teresa O'Reilly (nee Garvey) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Faith Manor LTC, Brampton, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late John Peter for 60 years. Loving mother of Rosemarie (Peter Bailey), Sheila Ounpuu (Mike), Phyllis (Christopher Moher), Sean (Debbie), and Yvonne. Cherished Grandma of Meagan O'Reilly. As the oldest of 12 children born in County Galway, Ireland, she will be dearly missed by a large family of siblings, nieces & nephews.

Known for her kindness, loyalty and generous heart, Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her friends from church, her exercise buddies at Cawthra Seniors Centre, the gals from TOPS, her former co-workers at Gateway - Canada Post, many connections throughout the Toronto Irish community, and dear neighbours from Saunders & Garnet Avenue. The first thing many noticed about Mom was her beautiful blue eyes. Once they got to know her, they would comment on the sparkle in those eyes, how she was always on the go, and what a joy it was to hear her mischievous laugh. She leaves a legacy of believing in faith, family and hard work that will never be forgotten. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Prayers at 3pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 625 Atwater Ave., Mississauga, on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at 11 a.m.

Teresa was a charming, intelligent Galway woman with a great sense of humour
and a terrific laugh. We were fortunate to be invited to many Garvey get-togethers over the years and one of the highlights for us was always the “Craic” with Teresa.

May she Rest In Peace.

Theresa and Johnnie were such great friends to our Mom and Dad, and we were always so happy to see them together, remembering old times when they were all young on Saunders Ave. The obituary mentioned her laugh, which is what I always think of when I think of her...always smiling and happy. Our sincere condolences to all of you on her loss. We will see you next week for sure. Maureen (Costello) Hulbert.

The nicest neighbour you could have. It was always a pleasant conversation across the fence or on the porch. Condolences to a great family.

Rest In Peace Aunt Teresa. What a wonderful lady she was.
Can remember as a young kid her visiting Coose to see Granny.
