In Celebration of

Teresa Maria Bissola

April 27, 1964 -  August 29, 2019

Passed away peacefully on August 29, 2019 at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga at 55 years of age surrounded by her loving family. Born in Toronto, the daughter of the late Bruno and Gaetana Podesta, she is survived by her devoted husband Ettore and beloved daughters Anna-Lise and Sarah Bissola. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers Anna Podesta da Silva (Tony), Paul Podesta (Paula), Laura Podesta (Sylvain), Michael Podesta as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Teresa received her Master of Arts in 1988 and her Master of Education in 1995 from the University of Toronto. She was a lifelong dedicated educator who worked for the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board as a Special Education Teacher where she inspired countless students to achieve their maximum potential.

Teresa enjoyed travelling, going to the theatre, dining out, and developed a recent passion for curling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Teresa's memory to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Teresa was a beautiful soul... thoughtful, forgiving , selfless, loving, and a peacemaker. Teresa was a gift to our family. She always opened her heart and her home for any occasion. We are so blessed to have received her kindness. Throughout her suffering, she was always concerned for her husband, daughters, and siblings. In her last days, despite her pain and discomfort....she was thinking of her family. She wanted to be strong for them. God bless this beautiful soul.... We love you Teresa and look forward to seeing you again!

I am so lucky to have known Teresa, Ettore and the girls through my cousins, Carla and REN Bissola. Our families shared birthday celebrations filled with lots of food, conversations and always love and laughter. What a kind person she was and it goes without saying, that there will be an emptiness at the table when we get together again.

Rest In Peace Teresa.

My deepest sympathies to Ettore and the girls.
