In Celebration of

Ted Nerkowski

August 31, 1923 -  September 16, 2021

We wish to announce the peaceful passing of our Father at the age of 98. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years (Sophie) and his son (Andrew), Father to (Helen), (Eric) and (Karl). Ted also leaves behind him the love and adoration of many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will all miss him very deeply.

Ted was born in Jozefowo, Poland and came to Canada in 1964 to offer his family a better life when times were often very difficult and challenging for newcomers. A simple man who was a butcher by trade, had a passion for playing his accordion, and enjoyed life’s simplicities. Till the end, our Father was a kind soul, always thankful to those around him that came to visit, or offered him assistance. He lived a peaceful life to the end, for which we are very thankful.

Due to current Covid-19 related restrictions and in the best interest of the health and safety of our loved ones, we are respectfully holding a private visitation for immediate family.

We would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at Westburn Manor who have provided care for our Father in such difficult and trying times. They are the true angels who have continued to provide love, support and kindness to our loved ones, when we were not able to during the pandemic, we will be forever grateful.

Our family is appreciative of all your sympathy and condolences, being offered at this time.

In Lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial donations may be made to your preference of choice.
