With great sadness we announce that after a long and courageous battle with illness, at the age of 76, Tadeusz “Teddy” passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024, surrounded by loving family.

Beloved husband of Ewa for 55 years. Loving father of Robert (Susan “Susie”), Marek (Lisa), Adam (Andrea) and Annette (Patrick Eisfeld). Dear Dziadzia of Alyssa, Justin, Lucas, Noah, Jace, Samantha, Jack, Jayden, Ethan, Jessica, Jennifer, Grayson and Juliette. Dear son of the late Stefan and Helena, predeceased by oldest brother Kazimierz, and brother of Zbigniew (Joo-Hee), Gabriela (Roger Trottier), and Irene (Nick Ongaro). Wonderful Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Originally born and raised in Bydgoszcz, Poland and immigrating to Canada in 1965, at the age of 18, he worked as a draftsman before spending most of his career as a Real Estate and Insurance Broker. Ted loved spending time up North (especially at his cottage in Muskoka), loved the outdoors, planting trees, fishing, and watching sports of any kind. He enjoyed foraging in the woods, especially strawberries and mushrooms. He was even known as the “Mushroom Man”.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel Chapel”, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm. Rosary prayers scheduled for 6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on what would have been Ted’s 77th birthday, at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd. (W. of Hwy 427), Etobicoke, on Thursday September 19, 2024, at 11am. Cremation.
