Sybil Brand

May 31, 1933 -  January 17, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sybil Brand. Sybil passed away peacefully, with her daughter, by her side, at Trillium Health Partners-Mississauga Hospital on January 17, 2024. Loving mother to Tracey and devoted grandmother to Brianna, she was born in Trinidad & Tobago and was the daughter of Wilfred and Amelia Brand (deceased).

Sybil is predeceased by siblings Rupert Brand, Phyllis Codrington, Beryl Brand, Leslie and Clive Brand. Sybil loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Joan Brand and Sarah-Ann Wood, sister-in-law Bernice Brand, nieces Marcia Romain, Dionne and Kathleen Brand, Karen McGregor, Anthony and Jason Brand, Marlon(deceased), Leslie and Monique Brand, Genevieve Schledermann, Wayne, Adrian, Anthony, Debbie, Susan, Hayden, Gerrard and Aaron Brand. She will also be missed by many nieces, grand-nieces and nephews, her cousins the Simon-Thompsons and Adams families (Trinidad & Tobago) and her dearest friends.

Sybil was dedicated to the nursing profession. She was trained and worked as a Mid-wife and Nurse in London England and a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Toronto, ON for more than 40 years.

The funeral service for Sybil Brand will take place on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 1:00pm, at St. Peter's Anglican Erindale, 3041 Mississauga, Rd. Mississauga, Ontario. A reception will follow the service.
