In Celebration of

Suzanne Klis

January 29, 1931 -  July 11, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and “Memere,” Suzanne Klis on July 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in France in 1931, she came to Canada when she was 19, and built an amazing life, home, and cottage here. Her kindness, strength, and love for her family will always be remembered.

Suzanne is predeceased by her husband Walter, and her son John. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Stan, daughter Christine (Keith), as well as her seven grandchildren Amber (Dan), Aaron, Chantal (Kevin), Cameron (Cassandra), Nicholas, Keiran, and Ronan. She will also be fondly remembered by many friends and extended family both in Canada and France.

Visitation will be held July 15th at Turner and Porter “Yorke” Chapel, 2357 Bloor St W. Toronto, between 6-9pm. Funeral service will be held July 16th, also at the Turner and Porter “Yorke” Chapel at 11am, with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jacky Lai as well as all of the staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe for making her last days so comfortable.

Susie was a shining light.
She will be missed. Her laughter and joy was so uplifting to everyone around her. She made everyone feel welcome.
Hugs to your family during this sad time.

Richard
