In Celebration of

Susan Novelli

July 15, 1957 -  December 8, 2019

Suddenly at home, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 62. Dear daughter of Joan and the late George. Loving mother of Brianne (Conall), Michael and the late Patrick. Adored grandma of Rowan, and loving companion of Rory, her dog.

Susan will also be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. She loved her parents, her children and her grandson unconditionally, and cared about people in the purest way. She loved them for who they were and wished the best for them without asking for anything in return. She had so much goodness and capacity to bring happiness to others. She was always ready to make friends with a neighbour or brighten a stranger’s day with a smile and a hello. Wherever she was, she knew and made friends with everyone.

Susan’s sense of humour and distinctive laugh, her love of reading and knowledge, and her daily phone calls to connect with her family will be missed every day.

When you think of Susan, celebrate the good memories you have of her. She will be so very missed.

Friends may call at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. for a Celebration of Susan’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.

Living in London (U.K.) means I'm not in Toronto much, but I really enjoyed it when Conall, Brianne, Rowan, Susan and I went out together. In the short time I've known her, I would say she had a generous spirit, a sense of humour, laughed well, and had a loving heart. She was a good person all 'round and the world is worse without her.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Susan's passing. She was a kind and caring person who will be missed.

Through Joan, I came to know Susan. When I met her I was stuck by the genuine caring she showed when speaking of others. She was able to do much with little and was most generous in her friendship.
I loved to see Susan with her little dog, Rory. She loved him to pieces!
I know Brianne and Joan will miss the phone calls. As Joan and Susan shared talking about the evening moon they were beautifully in touch with each other although half a city away from each other.
Joan, Brianne, Connell, Michael and Rowan and the extended family have suffered the loss of a beautiful spirit. My condolences to all.
