It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and dedicated educator, Sue Clark, who left us on Thursday, May 8th. Sue was a passionate High School teacher, inspiring countless students in science and physical education throughout her career in Fort Frances, British Columbia, and Mississauga, Ontario, at St. Martin’s Secondary School.
She retired her teaching career in 2013 and in 2015, Sue faced a significant challenge when she suffered a stroke that profoundly impacted her life.
Sue was not only an exceptional teacher but also a devoted coach, guiding many young athletes in various sports. Her love for sports extended beyond the classroom; she was an avid golfer and skier, and she had a special fondness for the Toronto Maple Leafs, passionately cheering for her favorite hockey team. Additionally, she was a devoted supporter of the Canadian National Hockey Team, especially the women’s team, celebrating their achievements with pride.
Sue's loyalty to her friends was unwavering, and her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many who knew her. She had a unique ability to connect with her students, fostering a love for learning that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of being in her class.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving parents, Janet and David Clark, who instilled in her the values of hard work, kindness, and dedication.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honour at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, (Hwy 10 Nof QEW), on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM.
Sue will be dearly missed, but her legacy as an inspiring educator and loyal friend will continue to live on in the hearts of many.
