It is with deep sadness we share that Stella peacefully passed away in her home on April 12, 2023, at the age of 90.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Francica and devoted mother to Martess (John), Joe (Susan) and John (Emily). Dear Nanna of Andrea (Alan), Mark (Andrea), Stephanie, Vincent, Andrew, Nicholas, Vanessa (Devin) Jessica, Anthony; as well as great grandchildren Julian, Mia and Sophie. Stella will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Tessie (John), Imelda (Charles), Doris (Helmut) and Rose (Mike).

Stella was born on May 7th 1932 in the city of Birgu in Malta. She was the oldest of five sisters. In 1948 her family migrated from Malta to Toronto. Stella worked hard to help support her family and build a life in Canada - her first job was at Laura Secord. At age 20 Stella met the love of her life Vincent and on September 11, 1954 they married. Stella and Vincent eventually settled in Mississauga with their 3 children.

Stella was an excellent baker, a talented knitter and a great story teller. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and watching her favorite soap operas. Undoubtedly her greatest joy was her family; her sisters, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Holidays and family celebrations and her daily calls with her kids, sisters and grandchildren will be greatly missed. She will forever be in our hearts.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Monday April 17th, 2023 from 2-4 and 7 - 9 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Parish, 5440 Durie Road Mississauga, on Tuesday April 18th, 2023 at 10:30 am.
