Stella Dudun

Stella died peacefully on November 1, 2022, with her daughters and granddaughter by her side at the age of 90. A generous, loving, kind person devoted to her family and known for her sense of humor. Stella was born in Toronto, the only child of Sophie and Anthony Schwartz, originally from the Ukraine.

She was a member of the Toronto Insurance Women’s Association and the Women’s League at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Church, where she attended many events and made lifelong friendships. She had a lifelong love for all animals, especially cats.

Stella will be sorely missed by family and friends, including her daughters Andrea Dudun (Lew) and Joanne Dudun (Steve), her granddaughter Jesseca Perry (Charles), and her beloved great-grandchildren Olivia and Maxwell. Cousins Pam Kamstra, Marianne Fedunkiw, Lasha Fedunkiw, Walter Dermott, Stefania Kaczmarczyk, Jan Kedzia, and their families.

Stella was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bernard Dudun, cousins Mary Tataryn, Julia Dermott (Don), Leona Fedunkiw (Stephen), Walter Kowal (Muriel), and Anna Dermott.

Heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Roman Zassoko, her family doctor, her caregiver Neha, and neighbors Glen and Sherry, who went above and beyond to help care for Stella.

Visitation beginning at 2pm, Tuesday November 8, followed by a funeral service at 3pm at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. West, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
