With sadness I write this, although humorous moments and memories come to my thoughts as I type. (Raccoons, vegetables, Ukrainian shows and sports and what went into bringing him that enjoyment.)
“A life well lived” That is the best legacy that one could ask to have said at the end of ones days, ‘Tat’ your life was very rich and well lived.
You will be very much missed by all who love you and I wish you wonderful and exciting adventures ahead in your new journeys
Muriel
He was/is an inspiration of how to creatively live life. You all are in my thoughts and may your fond memories of him bring you solace.
I am so sorry to hear that we have lost Pan Stefan, He was our neighbour and an inspiration -- living independently, growing vegetables, making pickles, baking.... From our talks, I know how he loved and was proud of his children and grandchildren. A few months ago, our street had a car-free day, and my husband (who is from Ukraine) sat with Pan Stefan on his front porch and talked for a good part of the evening Pan Stepan was happy, content. I will also remember the US Thanksgiving some years back that we celebrated at my house. My Ukrainian father, born in 1922, was visiting from Buffalo. That day, We invited Pan Stephan and he and my father sat for hours sharing their experiences. Both had lived through more than most of us can imagine. He will be missed.
Sonia & Family,
May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. Our most sincere condolences.
Rest in peace till we meet again
