It is with deep sorrow and great heartache that we share the news of sudden passing of Stefan Sitko on September 8, 2021 at the age of 83. He was beloved husband of Teresa (nee Wiesztort), proud father of Barbara and Piotr, loving grandfather of Angelica, Nicole and Christopher and cherished brother of Janina Gruszka.
He was born, grew up and started his family in Poland. He immigrated with his wife and children to Canada in 1976 and reunited with parents Zofia and Stanislaw Sitko and his sister Janina Gruszka. He bought his first house on Grenadier Rd in Toronto and was member of Polish Parafia Swietego Kazimierza for 45 years.
He worked hard at Romet Ltd to provide for his family but always took opportunity to spend time with family and friends. He took special pride in his gardening skills and was always ready to share his knowledge or lend a hand to others. When he no longer had a garden of his own, he helped his sister and children grown their flowers and vegetables, especially tomatoes.
Although a frugal man who believed in saving for the future, he had a generous heart and would not hesitate to give to those who needed his help.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
