Stanley Forbes Wallace

October 11, 1932 -  November 12, 2024


The family of Stanley Forbes Wallace are deeply saddened to announce his passing. Stanley passed away peacefully with his devoted wife, Clara, by his side.

Stanley was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland before immigrating to Canada in the 1970s. Stanley had a beautiful baritone singing voice and as a youth he sang in Church Choirs for many years. As an adult he performed on stage with numerous Dramatic and Opera Productions both in the United Kingdom and Internationally.

As a young man, Stanley served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) for several years in Egypt during the Suez Canal Crisis in the 1950s.

Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Ellen Wallace (nee Forbes), his sister Margaret, his daughter, Eleanor, and son, Colin.

Leaving to mourn is Stanley's wife of 45 years, Clara, his stepdaughters, Susan Delaney (Mariangeles), Catherine Delaney (Marc), granddaughter, Elle and Grandsons, Edward and Elliott. Also mourning his loss are several in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and his close friends, Al and Margaret Grant and Mrs. Anne Garry.

A Memorial visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel”, 1981 Dundas St. W. Mississauga, on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 2-5 PM.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Ontario.

We were very saddened to learn of Stan’s passing although it was not unexpected. We have known Stan and Clara for well over 40 years and have had many good times together. Stan was a fine gentleman and had a wonderful sense of humour. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
