It is with great sadness the family of Stanislaw Ligas announce his passing in Toronto on July 27, 2020 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of 61 years to Stanislawa, cherished father of Sophie, Stanley, Christine and son in law Rick. He was a cherished grandfather (Dziadzia) to his 3 grandchildren Victoria, Rysiu and Jessica. He is survived by his youngest brother Franczisek and will be greatly missed by his extended family, friends in Canada, Chicago and Poland. He moved to Canada from Poland in March 1966 and built his life in Toronto. He built his career on his passion of building, woodworking and assisted generously to relatives and friends whenever anything was necessary.

A private visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St W at Windermere on July 30th, 2020. Funeral mass at St. Casimir’s Church, 156 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto at 10am on Friday, July 31st and streamed live https://kazimierz.click2stream.com/ Burial Park Lawn Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Hospital.
