August 19, 1944 - July 22, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Smilja on Wednesday, July 22,2020 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Jure for 52 years. Loving mother of Ruzica Dugandzic (Niko), Damir, Jelena McFadyen (William), Josip (Ana). Adored Grandmother/Baba of Simun (Gabriela), Nikolina, Emma, Abby, Mirela, Matea, and Great Grandmother/ Pra Baba of Niko.

She will be sadly missed by her extended family, kumovi and friends in Croatia, USA and Canada.

She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart and welcoming smile.

Due to current restrictions visitation will be by invite only.

So very sad to hear the passing of Smilja. She was always smiling and loving, caring and heart filling to anyone that she meets. Family, friend, or someone she was just introduced to she was genuine in her love for all. I truly will miss her. Please know that we from Lansing are hurting from this loss.
