In Celebration of

Slawomir Krenca

August 21, 1943 -  September 19, 2022

Unexpectedly, Slawomir passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Danuta and son of late Anna and Mykola Krenca.

Slawomir led a very religious and fulfilled life. He was born on August 21, 1943 in Tyskowa, Poland. He was the only child. When he was 4 years old, he and his parents were victims of “Akcja Wisla” and evicted from their homeland to the northern part of Poland. There, Slawomir graduated from Szczecin University of Agriculture. He met his wife, Danuta, and in 1969 they got married. They were happily married for 53 years. In 1985, he immigrated to Canada in hopes of providing a better life for his family while preserving and celebrating his Ukrainian heritage. In 1989 Danuta and his mother joined him. Slawomir was a loving son, devoted husband and an amazing godfather to Darko Kowal and Mirko Kulyk. He was a patriot and his love for God and Ukraine was unconditional. He leaves behind his beloved wife and family and friends here in Canada, Poland and Ukraine. He will be dearly missed.

Family and Friends may attend the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Panakhyda at 7 p.m.

When someone as special as your spouse dies, the grief feels unbearable.
Just know his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
We pray that Vujko is at peace now and God gives him eternal rest,
Sending you infinite love.
If we can help you share this burden in any way, we would be honored to do so.
Love.
