Sister Agnes gave me the perfect family, when I first arrived Canada. During 6 years, I lived at the Carmelite House with her, Sr. Bernadette, Abbey, Silas and all the Carmelite Girls that have lived there during that time. I’m from Brazil and Sister Agnes embraced me and supported me in many ways during my first years as newcomer in Toronto. Thank you Sister Agnes for being a sign of God in so many people’s life, specifically mine. I will love you forever. Rest in peace 🙏🏻🤍

You have been my mentor all my life since I met you by chance at 22. I always respected you. I will remember you sharing your love to many people forever. The grace of the Lord is with you.

I met Sister Agnes 15 years ago or so, and she changed my life and added depth and life to my soul and love to my heart. Sister loved EVERYONE and all were welcome, she lived her life with strong faith, love and acceptance of people for who they were. She was always there for a laugh, nuggets of wisdom, food for thought, a catch up session, coffee, she loved baseball and hockey. She blessed us all with her very being, and she helped me find my way when I was lost and said Grace before Meals at our wedding. She loved my husband because he loved me and she adored our dog Gracie. Even when she was sick, her wit was sharp, her humor never faded and she lived Gods work until the end. Sister Agnes you touched more people than you know and the world is a little less bright without you here. I promise to do good in the world, I will never forget you. Rest easy in the arms of your angels and with Jesus in heaven.
