Sister M. Theresa Byrne (Kathleen Mary Byrne), Carmelite Sister of the Divine Heart of Jesus died peacefully at Providence Villa, Scarborough on February 18th.

She was in the 69th year of her religious life having ministered in Toronto, Mississauga, St. Catharines and Medicine Hat, Alberta. Born in Toronto, Sister M. Theresa was predeceased by her parents Catherine Whan and James P. Byrne and her brother, Monsignor Patrick Byrne.

She will be sadly missed by her brother, Ted, his wife Anne (Kristina & Marc); her sister Ruth and her husband Doug Dunn. (Brendon & Sean).

Also left to mourn are many cousins especially Sally Todd who was very close to her.

She will be missed by her Sisters in our Carmelite Communities as well as many friends and the many people she has loved and served throughout her years of service.
