Sirino Pereira

February 23, 1932 -  March 9, 2019

Peacefully and with family at his side, at Cawthra Gardens, Mississauga, on Saturday March 9, 2019, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Esperanca. Cherished father of Sydney (Kathy) and Samantha. Proud Grandpa of Kaitlyn and Kyle. Loving brother of Phil D’Costa (the late Emil). Sirino was predeceased by his siblings Christa (Dominic), Wolfango, Charlotte (Hillary) and Patrick. Will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Selena, and extended family and friends in Goa, India and Canada.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy), on Tuesday, March 12 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. Mississauga, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11 a.m.

For those that wish, donations in memory of Sirino may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

U. Sirino, as his name suggests, was serene, kind, gentle, creative and funny. He made his presence felt by whispering a joke or taking a sheet of paper and writing one’s name in that inimitable calligrapphic style. He would then give it to you as if bestowing a Certificate to you - when really without words, he recorded his freestyle creativity. A very good man who never complained and always wore a lovely smile. May his soul Rest In Peace and we wish A. Sperry, Sydney/Kathy & Samantha our heartfelt condolence.
