Shung Ku Ong 王黃松菰女士

August 20, 1927 -  August 17, 2022

Our dear mother / grandmother Shung-Ku Ong passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital on Wednesday August 17, 2022, at the age of 94.

Shung-Ku was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tin-Tiong Ong, daughters-in-law Anita and Bonnie, grandsons Derek and Robert. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gio, Kong (Marilyn), Tony (Marie) and Audrey; grandchildren: Jonn (Therese), Karl, Derwin, Hayden, Kenneth and Andy; and great grandchildren: Jordan, Kristen and Samantha. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at the Yee Hong Centre and Century City Park.

Shung-Ku was born and raised in the province of Fujian, China. She moved to Hong Kong in 1953 and then followed her children to Canada 35 years ago. She was a Tai Chi Sifu, an excellent mother and grandmother, and was a supportive, caring and kind person. We all miss her dearly.

Family and friends are welcome for visitations at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (North of the QEW) on:
- Saturday, August 27 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and
- Sunday, August 28 from 9:00am to10:00am, following by the Funeral Service from10:00am to 10:30am and a reception from10:30am to11:30am.

Shung Ku's cremated remains will be interred at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens in Oakville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation or the Toronto SickKids Foundation.
