In Celebration of

Shirley May Crow

July 19, 1935 -  August 10, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother/grandma/great grandmother, Shirley on August 10 2024 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of late David William Patrick for 54 years. Loving mom of Catherine (Alex), Lorraine (Jim), Andrew, and Barbara (Dave). Proud grandma to Steven (Danielle), Lisa (Bill), Trent (Holly), Matthew (Lesley), Ronnie (Amanda), and Patricia. Great grandma to James, Liam, Maeve, Graham, Adalyn, and Fraser. Dear sister to late Maybelle, late Wilfred, Dorothy, late Rosemary, and Ronnie.

Shirley will always be remembered for her amazing knitting, wonderful baking, love of gardening, devoted work as an adjuster at Safeco Insurance, and her unwavering commitment to charity work for our community.

Shirley will be deeply missed by her family, her many dedicated and supportive caregivers, the caring team at Senior Support Care, and the staff and members of The Salvation Army Adult Day Programs.

Family and friends may call at Turner & Porter Neweduk Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga on Wednesday. August 14, from 5-8 p.m.

Burial will be held on Thursday August 15, at 1pm at The Anglican Parish of Roches Point Christ Church Cemetery, 12 Turner St, Roches Point, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory would be greatly appreciated and can be made to The Salvation Army Adult Day Programs of Stoney Creek and Ancaster (https://donate.salvationarmy.ca/page/62177/donate/1?locale=en-CA) where Shirley attended for 8 years. These programs are extremely valuable for older adults with cognitive decline and provide essential respite for caregivers. Shirley bravely fought mixed dementia for 8 years and taught us all the importance of resilience and inner strength.
