Shirley passed peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital on September 18th, 2020, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Bill Male and Ann Rachlin. Cherished grandmother of Katie, Zoe, Benjamin, Alex and Yasmin.

Shirley was positive, faithful and always smiling. Her light touched all who knew her. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends.

Due to the present restrictions on gatherings, a private Family service has taken place with a burial at Park Lawn Cemetery.

If you wish to contact her family please call her daughter, Ann Rachlin at 647-234-5880.

An amazing lady who "walked the talk" all the days of her life that I knew her, some 40 plus years, the good and not so good. Peace to Ann & Bill and children. God Bless. Rest in Peace Shirley.

I will greatly miss my monthly visits with Shirley. It was always lovely to have tea with her and share stories and memories. She would sometimes call me if she had not heard from me in a bit. Sadly this pandemic put an abrupt end to our visits in February. I will miss her smile!! She was an amazing lady.

Jack was my ushering captain for years. He trained me. I got to know Shirley when I worked for Jack. She was such a beautiful, well turned out lady. I heard about her interest in art classes and hobbies especially in Florida and saw some cards she had made one time which were beautiful. She was very brave through the past years when she was very bent over. We would see her at church and offer to help with her coat or I would help seating her if I was ushering. Despite what looked like a very uncomfortable position, she always smiled sweetly and thanked us. I like to imagine her in heaven now with Jack both standing straight and Shirley with her lovely smile. My condolences to those she has left behind.

Dear Family;
My thoughts and spirits were with you at the cemetery as Mum was laid to rest alongside Dad. I'm sure it was a lovely, peaceful occasion and my heart goes out to all of you. Much Love, Margie

Mrs. Male was one of the nicest, most generous, and caring people I have ever met.
We were so lucky to have great neighbors up one side of the street and down the other on Lloyd Manor.
Our condolences to Billy and Ann from the Burlington Foley's
