In Celebration of

Shirley Ann White

June 25, 1935 - December 8, 2021

It is with grateful hearts full of blessings, that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann White (nee Gandy),86, on Wednesday, December 8.

She died peacefully, at home, surrounded by her five children. She was determined to join her husband and best pal of 70 years, Ted, for the holidays.

She is predeceased by her brother Roy and leaves her brother Donn and cherished sister, Judy. She also leaves behind her beloved children, Scott (Brenda), Steve (Linda), Sue (Greg), Rob (Barb), and Mike (Eva).
A loving Grammy of 13 grandchildren, who were 'the light of her world'. Kristin (Dylan), Carson, Kelly, Christie (Kyle), Loren (Ryan), Jason, Adam (Naomi), Rob, Will, Bill, Rachel, Hannah (Dan), and Nyla.

Shirley's life revolved around the family. Gatherings, celebrations, and traditions were at the core. Her love language was entertaining and feeding her troops.

Volunteer work was very important to Shirley. She received such pleasure in serving others, including Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, Canadian Cancer Society, and Out of the Cold.
The fellowship and friendships from All Saints Anglican Church fuelled her spirit and resulted in dear lifelong friendships. She participated in a variety of outreach projects including an important role in creating two cookbooks, titled, Tastefully Yours. Those cookbooks are on all our shelves weathered from multiple-use, creating favourites for our families.

We send our immense gratitude to Dr. Anna Holland for her tireless energy in giving Shirley a peaceful journey. We thank the inspiring team led by Susan Ghallager at Tapestry Village Gate West for their exemplary care.

We will celebrate the life of our wonderful parents at our annual family Christmas party. Private burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Shirley's favourite non-profit, West Toronto Keys to Inclusion would be welcomed. https://westtorontokeys.com/
