In Celebration of

Sherry Long

January 9, 1978 -  August 2, 2022

On August 2, 2022, Sherry Long passed away peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, at the age of 44.

Beloved wife of Todd Keely. Adored mother of Christine, Jade, Jessica, Tyler, Johnathan, and Sean. Sherry was also a loving mother-in-Law to AJ Quemi and Jordan Dipaolo. Cherished grandma to; Chase, Miya, Jayla, and Jaxon. Loving sister of the late Tammy and Robert. Caring aunt of Mackenzie & Dakota. Beloved daughter to Gayle Long, and late father Robert Long. Best Friend and sister to Donna Carr.

She leaves behind a loving family that she was very proud of. Sherry was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion, and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. It was the school of hard knocks and yes we were told many times to suck it up. With that said she was genuine to a fault, with a heart of gold and yet she never sugar coated anything. Sherry will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (East of Erin Mills Pkwy), on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 10 a.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Park Medical TBT Unit (For Team Members) on behalf of Sherry Long.

Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

I love you mom, more then you will ever know, 24 years we spent together and there was only once I spent a week away from you, even then we both cried the first few days in lol.

I got to see you at the hospital outside and even that was hard. I didn’t just lose my mom but I lost my best friend! Every time my phone goes off, I run to it thinking it’s you. You were my number one supporter and we did everything together, you had my back 100% no matter what.

My children (Jayla and Jaxon) will miss you so much and my heart breaks when I hear them say “Grandma , Grandma” because all they want to do is go to your place, like we did every night. Jordan is missing the funny text messages you would send back and forth and all the inside jokes you two had (drove me nuts sometimes lol).

I’m not sure how to live my life without you, I barley know how to take a step, you always kept me going and everything reminds me of you (doesn’t help I can see your house from my front yard) but anyway you were the best person and we always had each others back.

I’m angry you left me so early, now I have to do this alone, but I am also at peace that your not suffering anymore. I knew you wouldn’t be able to handle even one more hospital meal lol

Please watch over us all and know we love you so freaking much it hurts.

I promise to be there for everyone on special days like the kids first day of school or graduation. Dad and Jordan will be there to help me along the way, everything will get done just the way you would do it so don’t worry.

You will always be remembered as the wonderful, heartfelt, welcoming, and beautiful women you are.

I Love you mommy
XOXO- Jade
