Christine, sincere condolences on the loss of your mother-in-law. I know she was a big part of your family and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Your family is blessed to have had many years of fond memories with her, to cherish and celebrate during this difficult time, and in the years to come.

Sheila was my beloved older sister. She was a constant source of love, laughter, guidance, and support in my life as a younger sibling and later my family's. Whether it was her gentle advice that always seemed to come at just the right moment, or applying her extensive nursing/teaching experience to our daily circumstances, Sheila left an indelible mark on my family.

All the families in Canada, young and old, remember Sheila hosting so many summer BBQ's and events at her home. It showed just how kind and generous she was.

Sheila taught us many things throughout her life. She showed us the importance of valued unwavering kindness, support and caring through diligent perseverance by taking care of her late husband William (Basie) for over 13 years. Even in moments of difficulty, Sheila faced challenges with resilience.

While the sudden and unexpected loss of Sheila leaves a void that can never truly be filled, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to live on through the memories we hold close and the lessons she imparted to us. I will truly miss the weekly hour plus telephone conversations Sheila and I used to have.

We will remember Sheila not with sorrow for her passing, but with gratitude for the time we were blessed to share. She would want us to carry forward with love in our hearts and a commitment to living fully and meaningfully, savoring family love and unity.

Love and Blessings,

Julie and Ambrose

Ecclesiastes 3...Vs 1-12. I honour my eldest Sister, Sheila Rose, with love and respect As the youngest of 8 siblings, I was always in awe of her sometimes strict and yet caring demeanor, as I grew up. Lately, whenever we spoke she would first ask about my health and my family's welfare, and then say she was doing just fine. Not complaining or seeking sympathy, as we knew her. R.I.P. Dear sister and Aunt.
