Sheila Margaret Wilson

March 29, 1940 -  May 25, 2024

Passed away at Trillium Health Partners Credit Valley Hospital on May 25, 2024 at the age of 84. She is also remembered by many as Dr. Sheila Zatelny. Predeceased by her husband Alister and previously by Dr. William Zatelny (April 1989). Loving mother of Suzanne (Adam Wajnblum), and adored grandmother of Maia and Noel. Beloved sister to Michael Pirie (Fiona Pirie) and aunt to many loved nieces and nephews.

Sheila practiced medicine as a family doctor for over 30 years in Mimico/Long Branch and was a respected member of the medical community. She recently became a loyal member of Streetsville United Church upon returning to Canada in 2019. Her faith was an important part of who she was. Sheila is loved and respected by everyone that knew her due to her thoughtful, kind and charitable nature. She will be missed by many circles of wonderful friends and family around the world.

Cremation has taken place. Sheila’s life will be celebrated at Streetsville United Church, 274 Queen Street South, Mississauga, on Wednesday June 5th at 12pm. For those who wish, donations in Sheila’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

We met Shelia and Alister during their time in Florida and their kindness was apparent. They spent time with my granddaughter, Marin, and so enriched her life. She will truly be missed but her footprint will carry on with these young folks she inspired. So sorry for your loss. Mark&Marcia
