In Celebration of

Sara Lysenko

November 18, 1930 -  January 10, 2021

(Née Sara Guadalupe Saldaña Martin del Campo)

It is with great sadness we announce that Mayita has departed this world to join our Lord in heaven. She passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario on Sunday January 10, 2021. She was predeceased by her loving husband Michael and her only son Mike (Kimberley). Loving grandmother of Anya and Bianca. Predeceased also by her siblings Roberto Jesus and Gloria. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Tere, Mago, and Guille; her many nieces and nephews in Mexico and Canada; and by her close knit group of friends in Toronto. She touched many lives with her kindness, sense of humor, optimism, independent spirit and strong faith. She loved her family, Puerto Vallarta, her friends, their lunch dates, a glass of Merlot with her meal, and dessert! We lift our prayers to Our Lord for her eternal rest. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice. Due to the pandemic no service will be held in Toronto at this time. A Catholic Mass and celebration of life will take place in the spring. Masses for her soul are being said by her nephew Rev. Father Luis Alfonso Zepeda, at Parroquia de San Martin de Porres in Guadalajara, Mexico until Sunday January 17, 2021.

We travel together for more than 23 years, our special place was Puerto Vallarta, we went every year. We were bless to visit so many places together. Our second best visit was Oaxaca and Israel. I can fill docenas of pages to write all the fun, anecdotes and so many things we had in common. One of them walking on the beach and said the rosary every morning. People who know us said to us how lucky we were to be able to do this trips year after year and the bond became stronger and stronger.
We did hundreds and hundreds of thing together and the memories of the fun and the wonderful trips together will stay with me for ever. Yolanda
